The Way, The Truth and The Life
-continued-

Day Five
Scripture:  Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.  Matthew 7:13-14

Thought:  Jesus is inviting us to a new life.  It is through a narrow path and a small gate and it truly is “the road less-traveled.”  It is a free offer to all, but He says only a few will take Him up on it.  Why is that?  Are we afraid there might might be some hidden costs associated or too much self-sacrifice?
The broad road and the wide gate apparently seem more appealing to most.  That path offers pleasure, self-gratification, and no rules.  But it eventually leads to destruction.  We all know this road.  We may be on it now.
Application:  You may be a believer in Jesus, but are you a follower of Jesus?  This is the life we propose in The Journey that takes Personal Abandonment and Absolute Trust.  This is the life Jesus died for.
We can’t have one foot in the Holy of Holies and one foot in the world.  We need to be “All In”.
Where are you?
Response:  Are you ready to live the life Jesus has planned for you?  Are you ready to surrender your plans, your dreams, your life to Him?  Are you ready to start walking with Jesus?
If you are walking with Jesus, are there any areas we are still controlling?  Ask the Lord if there’s anything He wants you to do for Him.
