Heal Our Land- THIS FRIDAY

Influencers across this great land are taking Rocky's challenge to fast and pray this Friday at NOON, wherever they are at that time, for this country and for God's people and for His Will. We are getting reports of Prayer Gatherings in all sorts of places in Bakersfield, Tulsa, Northwest Arkansas. If you are joining the movement of Prayer, we'd love to know about it...send us a quick email at information@influencers.org.

Below are some Prayer Points to help you as you gather this Friday:

2 Chronicles 7:14

New International Version (NIV)

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

If My people…. Pray that believers in America will begin to understand the importance of prayer for our country and pray that we as believers will take back our role as influencers with respect to our government, our church and our families.

Humble themselves… Pray for humility among the body of believers in our country….Pray that we would begin to understand that our country was founded on the principle that our trust in God and His provision and His protection have been the reason for this country’s power, prosperity and blessing.

Seek my face… Pray that we will seek God. His wisdom, His discernment and that God will give us the courage to stand up for the Biblical principles that made this country great.

Turn from their evil ways– Pray for repentance. Pray that we will turn away from our sin as individuals and as a government and turn back to the creator of heaven and earth.

Ask for Forgiveness– Pray that God will forgive us for these sins.

Pray for Healing – Claim the promise that if we do these things, God says that he will “heal our land”.

Pray for our Friends in Egypt

Please pray for our friends in Egypt...see the note below:

Things are escalating here in Egypt faster that we expected.

Yesterday, rioters went into the American embassy and burnt the American flag.

All islamists started insulting Christians on television stations.

Today, the American embassy has suspended its visa services in Egypt.

This means that if anyone needs to get a USA visa, they will need to travel to Jordan.

It is getting tighter and tighter.

One of our longtime Influencers in N.W. Arkansas, our resident Navy Seal, Boyd Billingsley, is going to undergo some tests to determine if his bladder cancer has returned.

Please pray for God's powerful healing hand to be upon him and the Peace of the Spirit to be all around him.

Urgent Prayer still needed for Gary Oliver

Brothers:

Gary Oliver made it out of the 10-hour surgery yesterday, and he has communicated via writing tablet, but there are still some serious concerns which warrant much more prayer.

1. They had to take much more out of his tongue than expected, leaving him with only 1/3 of his tongue left.  It remains to be seen how this will affect his normal functioning.

2. The tip of his tongue is black, which tells doctor something is wrong with the circulation in his tongue.

3. One of his eyes is having a problem with dilation, which alerts concerns of a stroke or some other brain disorder.

4. There was a problem with his tracheal tube, which caused some sort of panic attack.

We just wanted you to know the specifics so you would know how to pray for our dear brother.

Please lock your shields together in prayer, for God's power is great and His love and concern unending!

Influencer Brothers all over the world:

Please take a moment and pray for a dear friend to our ministry, Gary Oliver.  You may know of Gary's story and all the tragedy he has faced in the past few years, recently losing his wife and his son.  

He is now in Houston, undergoing a 10-hour surgery to remove cancer which has returned to his tongue.  They will be delicately removing the cancerous parts of his tongue and reconstructing his tongue with tissue from other parts of his body.  For 3 weeks following the surgery, he will not be able to eat or speak with his mouth and will have to be fed through a tube in his nose.

Gary is a prominent, national speaker on marriage and family and leads the Center for Marital Studies at John Brown University.  Please pray for a successful surgery and a quick recovery, so that Gary can resume his life of using his gifts to help marriages.  His faith is strong, and his new wife, Linda, who God blessed him with this past year, is right by his side.

Please lift our brother up to our gracious Father today.

Influencers Brothers:
A concerted prayer effort, on behalf of Influencers, is taking place next Tuesday evening, from 6:00-8:00 CST in Northwest Arkansas.  If you live within driving distance, you are encouraged to attend.  This will be held at Greg Huett's farm, near Tontitown, AR. (Directions are below).

If you are not in the area, consider joining us in Prayer from wherever you are during that same time.  Prayer is powerful and effective, and it is our most effective weapon against the devil's schemes.

"Take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one...and pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests."  Ephesians 6:16, 18

Directions to Greg Huett's farm:

You take hwy 412 west towards Tontitown.  At the stop light (catholic church on the right) you turn left (south) on Barrington road.  You go about 1/4 to ½ mile and then turn left on Fletcher Road toward the cemetery.   Follow Fletcher until it turns right and then go 1/2 mile. Look to the left for 4 red chicken houses and you will see our white fenced asphalt lane. Turn left into our property and follow the asphalt road to the end.

We Need to Lock Shields in Prayer Today!

Fellow Influencers and Brothers in the Battle:

I sense, this morning, an unusual heaviness, as I hear of fellow Journey brothers being plagued by darkness, health concerns, worries about their children, giving in to temptation, etc.  Men, we are being used by God to change lives for eternity, and the enemy does not take it lightly.  He will try anything he can to trip us up, as he is under the illusion that he can defeat us.  He does not realize that when Jesus said, "It is finished!" as he paid that final sacrifice on the cross, the war was won.

However, we fight these daily battles, as we seek to take ground for the Kingdom.  We have the power of the Spirit on our side, and we must walk in the power through personal abandonment and absolute trust!  

Brothers, first, spend some time in Prayer today, asking the Spirit to rebuke Satan and to rescue our brothers in need today.  Second, if the Lord puts a Journey brother on your heart today, stop everything and give him a call to check on him.  Let's not just assume everyone is okay.

As we lock our shields in faith across this world, we create an inpenetrable wall of protection and a strength beyond anything we could find on our own.

Rocky made it out of surgery

Just got word that Rocky made it through his 4-hour surgery successfully.  The surgeon was able to reattach the pin in his leg, which had become detached.  He was also able to lengthen his leg a bit, which was needed.  So, now it's time to relax and recover.

Brothers, please join us in praying for our leader, Rocky Fleming, as he undergoes surgery tomorrow afternoon to repair a broken femur in his leg.  Rocky had surgery seven years ago, where they installed a pin in his leg.  The severe pain he has been enduring for several months recently told him something wasn't right.  They finally got to the bottom of the problem.  Tomorrow afternoon they will be removing the old pin and repairing the femur with a new pin.

Please pray for protection, skill for the surgeon and for God's healing power to be present during the surgery.

Calling all Influencer leaders in N.W. Arkansas and Tulsa to join us for a time of Prayer next Tuesday, November 3rd, as we prepare for our Influencers Gathering on December 5th.  We continue to feel like God's hand is upon our ministry and that he is preparing us for an explosion.  We are also reminded of the our extreme dependence on Prayer so that we can discern the steps of the Lord and fight of the opposition to our message.  We will be meeting at Greg Huett's farm at 6:00 p.m.- Directions are below.

Please try to attend:

                                                                Directions to Huett farm:

                        Take hwy 412 to Tonitown,  at the stoplight, turn south on Barrington
                        road.  Go south approximately 1/2 mile and turn left (east) on Fletcher.
                        After about a 1/2 mile, Fletcher turns right and turns into Piazza road.
                        Take it south 1/2 mile until you see three chicken houses on the left in
                        a field.  Turn left at the aluminum gates onto the asphalt road.  Follow
                        it to the end.
