Northwest Arkansas

Northwest Arkansas Influencers is the home of Influencers Global Ministries. The organization began when Rocky Fleming gathered seven men together in 2001 and asked them if they wanted to go on a journey with him to discover more about God than they presently knew. At the time no one had any idea that Influencers was born. The group used handwritten notes from Rocky to take the Journey. Afterwards the men realized they had been discipled and they wanted to share this journey with other men. Influencers became a marketplace ministry of discipleship.

Today in Northwest Arkansas more than two thousand men have gone through the Journey. Our mission remains the same as in 2001, we want to disciple men. Using the Journey we guide small groups of men into the proximity of Christ. During the Journey the men discover that God knows them, He cares about them, He is able to help them and He is willing to help them. From there the men discover the revelation of John 15 and being connected to the vine. Once men understand that Jesus wants a relationship with them and they discover the power of that relationship, it is game over. At that point men begin “Living Out” their sacred responsibility of discipleship at home and at work.

We believe Influencers was birthed in Northwest Arkansas for a reason.  With Walmart, Tyson Foods and J.B. Hunt all being located here with tentacles all over the world, we see Influencers who work in these corporations taking this method and this message to the ends of the earth.

Meet Kyle Neely, New Regional Director, NWA

After a 35 year career with Tyson Foods and 4 years of serving on the Global Board for Influencers, God tapped Kyle on the shoulder and told him His plans for his “retirement.”  He needed him to help serve this community where it all started, this unique business community where Walmart, Tyson Foods and JB Hunt are all headquartered and with business influence around the world.

Other interesting notes about Kyle:

  • Married to Darla for 38 years.

  • He has two children.

    • Cody has been married to Erin Mortenson Neely for 9 years and they have one son, Easton who is 4 years old.

    • Erin has been married to Zachary Deshazo for 5 years and they have one daughter, Brooklyn who is 1 year old.

  • He has been a member at Catalyst NWA for 12 years and serve there as an elder and volunteer.  This is the church pastored by Nate Sweeney, fellow Influencers Board member and founder the Abiding Network.

  • He first went through the Journey in 2011 at Catalyst.

  • He has guided Journey groups at Tyson from 2013 until 2020.

  • From Kyle:  “I have a passion for the Journey because God changed my life through it. I believe it is a God inspired process that enables us to fulfill Jesus’ great commission in Matthew 28:19-20.  I was saved at a young age and have been in church my whole life. Serving God has always been priority in my life, but I allowed myself to let self-righteousness creep in and found myself going through the motions. Leading up to the Journey in 2011, I had heard through multiple resources about this thing called abiding. So, as I was going through The Journey and I learned what it truly meant to abide in Christ, I knew I was on the path my God had for me. Like most men that God transforms through the Journey, I developed an intimate abiding relationship with Jesus Christ. I quickly learned I had to have him involved in every part of my life. So, each morning when I had my quiet time with my Lord, instead of putting him on the shelf and thanking him for His time and then going about my day, I started inviting him to walk with me and I started talking to Him throughout my day. When I completed the Journey, I knew God wanted more from me. About two years after, I was asked by a good friend and brother in Christ to co-guide a Journey group at work. I have been guiding ever since.”
