A Week of Prayers

MONDAY- Hallowed Be Your Name
 
 
"This, then, is how you should pray: 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name...'" Matthew 6:9 NIV
 
When we do the Spiritual Assessment in The Journey, my #1 gift score is Intercession.  When I hear of a spiritual need, I carry the burden until I give it to the Lord in prayer.  I love to pray and I believe in the power of Prayer.  Many things happen as we pray:
  • Our hearts are connected to the Father
  • Our burdens are released
  • God's Will becomes our will
  • We grow in Love for others as we pray for them
  • The Holy Spirit directs our paths and establishes the work of our hands
  • We find peace and joy
  • Outcomes in life are altered
God has revealed much to me about prayer, but I don't want this week to be a week of teaching on Prayer.  I want to lead us in prayer this week. I will pray for myself, for you and your families and for this ministry of Influencers.  I will use the prayer model that Jesus gave His disciples.
Will you join me in prayer today?
Father God, I love you!  I revere You and praise You and Your Name.  Lord, I am honored to be called by Your name when I call myself a Christian.  I cannot believe that You, the creator of the Universe, want a relationship with me.  You created me, you set me apart and you adopted me as a son.  You are the King of Kings.  You were there in the beginning and you will be there at the end.  You are strong and powerful and yet You are gracious and gentle.
 
Lord, I join thousands of Influencers, men and women across this country and even some in other parts of the world.  We raise our minds, our hearts, our voices to You.  We praise You because we love you, and we have given our lives to you.  In countless Journey groups, we have seen You come into broken lives and restore them to wholeness.  You bless us and guide us despite our deficiencies.  You stir hearts, you speak Your truth from Your word, you fill us with Your Spirit, You fill us with so much love, a love which heals our wounds and motivates us to action.  You loved us so much that You sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, to be a sacrifice for us and our sins.  You gave us a pathway to Your kingdom so we could live with You forever.  Such knowledge is too wonderful for us to receive.
 
Lord, we want to be Influencers, only to bring You glory and honor and praise.  We dedicate this ministry and our lives to You.  You are the way, the truth and the life.  Lord, you know right now, which people reading this email who may not really know who You are.   Help them see the Light.  Father, You are Jesus, You are Daddy, You are Provider, You are Healer, You are Counselor, You are Savior, You are Warrior, You are Friend, You are Comforter, You are the Great I Am, You are the Alpha and the Omega, You are Master.
 
I pray all of this in the Name above every name, Jesus.  Amen.
