God Raising Up Women Disciples by Bryan Craig

As a man with a wife of 31 years and 4 daughters, it might not surprise you that I'm excited to see Influencers Women becoming a new Branch within our ministry.  And it is just like Jesus to take our small steps of obedience and multiply them beyond our wildest dreams!

As you probably know, Rocky first thought The Journey would be a process to help men, and IT WAS AND IS!  All his allegories and stories definitely come from a male perspective.  However, it wasn't long before wives started seeing transformation happening in their husbands right before their eyes, and they wanted to know more.  Even though most churches have a lot of things going on for women, many ladies sensed there was something different about The Journey.  

As women started going through the process, they, like the men, discovered that there was so much more to know about this intimate God that wanted to be their Daddy.  When Rocky and I visited the women in Memphis 6 years ago and sat at a table with 20 women, we heard story after story of wounds healed, forgiveness found, love restored.

We quickly learned that The Journey works with women!  Abiding is not just for Men!  Discipleship is not a men's thing, but it is for the body of Christ.  If you spend time following Jesus' ministry in the Gospels, you see that women were involved.  Consider how Jesus came into the world through such a faithful young woman, Mary.  Also think about his close relationship with Mary and Martha.  And there were many others.  I'm sure the apostles' wives were involved on some level.

So, please join us in praying about the women's movement within Influencers.  If you are a woman, consider how you can join a Journey group.  And if you are already involved, perhaps you need to be at the Influencers Women's Summit April 7-10.  If you are a man, do you have a wife who could use help learning to Abide in Christ?  Or a daughter or sister or Mom?  

This is a really exciting time, and we celebrate God's expansion of the ministry in this way.  It is clear that God wants to reach men, women, and families, shedding His Light and setting people free.  We are all part of His plan.
