Poem From Papa

At the end of the first segment of The Journey, after the lesson on the Orphan Spirit, participants are asked to write a Letter from Papa.  In every Journey group, there are new discoveries of how intimate our God really is and how He wants to be our Daddy, our Papa.  When this breaks through to a believer’s heart, it changes everything.  As participants share their letters with fellow group members, it is always a very powerful experience.

One Journey participant recently shared his Letter from Papa which became a “Poem From Papa”, and we share it with you in hopes it will encourage you on your journey.

Poem from Papa

You are my child and my provision is all you need

Holy Spirit resides within you to council and to lead

Allow your mind to be washed clean with heavenly holy thought

Trust Holy Spirit and be cautious of what the world has taught

Let me lead you through my word.  Allow scripture to be your guide.

Walk humbly, love abundantly and be wary of your pride

My strength, my limits and my abilities cannot be weighed.

Jesus brings the victory and “through him” every giant slayed

Take rest in spite of what you hear or see.

Be Courageous, Listen and Abide in me
