The Christmas Witnesses- THE WISE MEN

Unlike the simple Shepherds, the Magi were well-educated and well-acquainted with this One that was coming to the world.  They were on a quest to find Him, as they were searching high and low.  They were men who understood the times and saw the signs.  They knew how much this world needed a Savior.

They spent significant time searching for Jesus, and they brought with them special gifts to offer the new King.  When they found Him, they humbled themselves in worship and sacrifice.  They, the astute, scholarly, wealthy, bowed low before a baby.  They understood Who He was!

Maybe you have followed Jesus for a long time.  You've heard about him, and you have seen the times.  You see the darkness in the world, and in the midst of it, you have been searching for the Light.  Perhaps, you are a successful businessman with great resources and knowledge, but none of this can satisfy the need for Jesus.  Perhaps, you are a pastor or minister who knows the Scriptures inside and out, and you can assume the role and look the part, but you are looking for more.  Perhaps, you have been calling yourself a Christian for years, but you don't feel like you've ever laid eyes on the Savior.  You've never really met Him face to face.

Perhaps God has given you much earthly wisdom and treasure, but you have hoarded it for yourself.  It is starting to smell like "yesterday's manna" which was given to you from God, but was not used for Him, and it is rotting away.  You realize how much you want to put your money where your Faith is, and give Him an offering.  You are ready to worship Him with all that you are and all that you have.

No matter who you are, follow the Light and your heart and kneel before Him.  It is the wisest thing you can do.
